News-Zilla!
So, yeah, lots of stuff has happened since my last entry. Things are better. I still miss my cat, but he is happy at my boyfriend's house, so that makes, me feel better. I got laid off from my job but I've started looking for a new one and I am hopeful.
Anyway, my boyfriend and I saw the new Indiana Jones movie opening night and may I just say WTF?????????????
I warn you now, the next bit will contain spoilers from the movie. You are warned
WTF??? There are some things in this world that should not mix. Indiana Jones and aliens are two of those things. I mean, seriously!! Aliens! Just.... no! Not supposed to happen. my life goal is now to drop-kick borh George Lucas and Steven Speilberg in the groin. It was soooooo bad!
And then there was Cate Blanchette's performance. First off, I should mention that I can't stand this woman, so I am slightly biased. But the woman cannot act! The entire movie she had the exact same expression! The flesh is being stripped from her bones and she still has the same vacant expression on. Learn to act. Kthxbai.
I mean, aliens aside, the story was actually good. I enjoyed seeing an older Harrison Ford play Indiana, I enjoyed Shia leBoeuf as his son, but ALIENS!! They ruined it all! Also the scene where Shia LeBoeuf Decides to swing from vine to vine through the jungle to catch up with the cars... Please! Some movie-goers still possess intelligent thought and realize that this is not possible. Give us some credit.
Another movie that we saw recently was Ironman. Now there was a satisfying movie. I was skeptical, and worried that this was going to be another comic-book-into-movie-fuck-up, but this was an awesome movie. I was worried about Robert Downey Jr playing Tony Stark (I think that was his name), but he was excellent, and might I say, strangely sexy. I loved it even more than Transformers, cause it had so much more to offer than 'All Spark! Must find All Spark and blow things up in process'. Now don't get me wrong, I appreciate senseless violence, and I loved Transformers, but Ironman had more of a story and for me that makes for a better movie.
Finally, the last big piece of news, I held a snake. A real live snake. Now, those who know me know that I am terrified of snakes, like run away screaming scared. But my best friend TorvaBeast, my boyfriend and I went over to Torva's boyfriend's house and he had a pet snaked named Cliff. After a minor freak out I summoned the courage and I held him. Go me! *Does a victory dance*
So yeah, productive couple of weeks for me. ^______________________^
